Vineyard 29’s story began in 1989 when retirees Teresa Norton and Tom Paine discovered their Napa estate was in prime Cabernet Sauvignon territory and began planting grapes and producing wine on the property. In 2000 the estate was acquired by Chuck & Anne McMinn who added the exceptional Aida vineyard and took the winery to new heights of quality and recognition.

More recently Vineyard 29 hit a rare milestone when their 2013 and 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon 29 Estate wines were awarded 100 points by legendary American wine critic Robert Parker.

The winemaking approach at Vineyard 29 focuses on Old World elegance combined with excellent Napa terroir. The vines are treated with great care and tenderness to ensure they produce top quality fruit while in the winery Chuck has installed state-of-the-art winemaking equipment and technology. There is even a dedicated control room in the winery where conditions in the winery, cellars and vineyards can be carefully monitored.

Vineyard 29 can be visited by prior appointment and the in-depth tour and tasting gives guests an insight into the estate’s history and winemaking philosophy. The excellent calibre of the wines and the stunning views from the property make this a ideal choice for those seeking a luxurious Napa Valley winery tour.
