Nickel and Nickel was founded in 1997 by Gil and Beth Nickel, the couple behind the highly successful Far Niente winery in Oakville. Thanks to the grand Queen Anne-style homestead and delicious single vineyard wines, this is a favorite stop on any Napa Valley wine tour.

The property was originally settled in the 1880s and the house built in 1884 by John C. Sullenger. After decades of abandonment the building has been lovingly restored by the Nickels and now serves as a welcoming environment for visitors to learn more about the winery and taste their wines. Directly beneath the homestead is 30,000 square feet of cellars which house the winery’s barrels.

Visitors can enjoy a pre-booked 90-minute outdoor tour and tasting which allows you to experience the historic homestead and winery grounds as well as tasting through their classic range of wines.

Nickel and Nickel is ideal for private Napa Valley wine tours thanks to the “Private Single Vineyard Classic” tasting which can be booked for just your party. There is also the option to upgrade your visit to their “Private Terroir Tasting” which showcases eight exceptional single vineyard Cabernets from some of Napa’s most exciting AVAs or sub-regions.
